Michael Ignatieff appears to be just another crying politician seeking power on his own terms. Ignatieff and the Liberal Party of Canada have been screaming lately in parliamentary debates about how the Conservative government of Stephen Harper has been unable to manage the Canadian economy and rising federal deficit. Once again, the federal Liberals are attempting to fog the memories of average Canadians. You would think after so much ill will, some in the federal Liberal party would at least have hoof and mouth disease as a gift for their false accusations. It is the Liberal Party of Canada and NDP who forced the minority Conservative government to support the bailout of GM Canada and other car manufacturers, which will account for more than $13 billion of the federal deficit. How absurd. This is one of the reasons why Canada is in deficit in the first place. Another issue is Employment Insurance where the Liberals and NDP have been demanding more and more. The federal government has a $50 billion surplus in the EI account do to tough austerity measures enacted, yes, by the federal Liberals when they were in power. It is unfortunate indeed how one must suspend their disbelief like some cheap sci-fi movie, while listening to the federal Liberals, specifically Ignatieff in the parliamentary debates. What hypocrisy. In my view, Ignatieff is no leader and appears to have no real idea of where to lead the country. He will not call an election anytime soon because he just moved into Stornoway; and if the truth were known, in all likelihood, would create more of a deficit than Harper’s conservatives. |
